Why Shopify CAPI isn't enough
- Shopify has bugs with 3rd party payment providers and many of them create nonstandard post back events to Shopify. Meaning when Shopify fires either its Purchase event "order/create" event it doesn't contain the data needed for CAPI that is IP and User Agent, so Facebook will NOT use those for optimization meaning you may be tracking performance, but not gaining anything regarding your ads in the future.
- OR even worse, in some cases you will not get the data at all. The event is actually missed. We ran into that a while back with Recharge.
- You don't get any data of your own vs EQ. Shopify talks to Facebook and you don't get to be included.
